Caroline Cecil, also known as Whipped Cream, is a 24 year old EDM DJ from Toronto, Canada. Whipped Cream is one of the many female DJs breaking into the dance music world and putting her spin on bass music. This high energy artist is said to work harder than most DJs and producers in the business. Because of her strong passion and drive, she has inspired many young DJs and artists to create their own unique sounds and keep pushing forward to follow their dreams. When Caroline was just beginning her music career, one of the first things she had to do was choose the right name for herself. Originally, she toyed with the idea of using her first name “Caroline”, but quickly realized the large number of songs that had been created throughout the years with “Caroline” as the title. She thought this would be confusing and keep her from standing out in the music world. With a little more thought, she came up with the name “Whipped Cream”. She has always been heavily influenced by R&B and club music, so the name fit her well.Whipped Cream’s first real breakout was during the 2015 Shambhala music festival. She has been able to showcase her own style of hip-hop inspired dark bass, which has gone on to inspire many other female DJs and music artists alike. Her music style has been explained as “limitless”, due to her constant integration of different music genres. Whipped Cream firmly believes in the power of following your dreams and living out your passions and she continues to create music that speaks to people in all walks of life.
Whipped Cream has inspired me in so many ways. It was her sound that led me to learn more about the mid tempo/bass music scene. I had the pleasure of seeing her live at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee this past December. Not only did I get to witness her performance, but I had the chance to meet her in person which was the highlight of my trip.

DJ GriF8 is a Southern California based DJ who became heavily interested in music, specifically EDM, when he was in middle school. He began mixing and producing his own music and at the young age of 19, and has played at venues and nightclubs in Laguna Beach, CA.
