Dominic Tortorete Remembered As Loving Father, Fiance

LAKE FOREST, CA —Orange County resident, 27-year-old Dominic Tortorete, died in a fatal crash on Easter evening in Lake Forest, leaving behind his fiance and 3-year-old daughter, Addilyn Rose, according to friends and family.

Tortorete was the driver of a jeep involved in a collision on the intersection of Muirlands Boulevard and Entrados Drive at 7:35 p.m. that night, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

"Based upon witness statements, the Jeep was attempting to cross Muirlands on Entrados and did not yield to oncoming traffic," OCSD Carrie Braun reported. Tortorete's Jeep rolled over during the crash, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, a family friend is raising funds for those left behind, 'to help Emily and Addilyn as they begin to move forward after this completely unexpected event," Carolyn Pecharka said on her GoFundMe site. More than $5,000 has been raised in three days.

Tortorete's Facebook page left a final message for his loved ones to cherish, left for his daughter, Addilyn Rose.

"You are perfect, beautiful and smart," he wrote. "I will always strive to be a better person for you and your mom."

A GoFundMe was established for his family.
