Famed Conceptual Artist Christo Wraps the Main Beach Lifeguard Tower!

Actually, this is scaffolding and a dust curtain that was built around Laguna Beach's most recognizable man-made landmark on Main Beach.

The city says the tower will be cloaked in this veil for the next two weeks while it undergoes maintenance, including a new roof, a new coat of paint, and a good cleaning, all in time for the busy summer tourist season.

The work is being done by the same contractor that's rebuilding the lifeguard headquarters a few steps away.
