La Verne Man ID'd In Fatal Collision
An 89-year-old man was struck and killed this week near Arrow Highway and A Street.
LA VERNE, CA — An 89-year-old man who was fatally struck by a vehicle in La Verne was identified, Tuesday, according to authorities.
Ruben Rodriguez of La Verne died at hospital of injuries he suffered just after noon on Wednesday in the area of Arrow Highway and A Street, according to the coroner's office and the La Verne Police Department.
La Verne police Lt. Chris Dransfeldt said the motorist who struck him remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
