Laguna Beach City Council Swears In New Council Members, Clerk

LAGUNA BEACH, CA —Laguna Beach held a virtual swearing-in of their city council members, city clerk, and city treasurer at Tuesday's city council meetings.

Bob Whalen held his seat, elected to another term of office in Laguna Beach, where he serves as Mayor. George Weiss won the second seat, defeating incumbent Steve Dicterow, who has served Laguna Beach for 20 years.

Whalen and city Treasurer Laura Parisi were each sworn-in virtually in Tuesday's meeting, while Weiss and McKay were both sworn in at council chambers.
All received a plaque commemorating the event.

In the November election, there were 16,667 ballots cast in Laguna Beach. Those votes selected the two new city council members, a new city clerk, and city treasurer, who ran unopposed.

Bob Whalen and George Weiss, Ann Marie McKay, and Laura Parisi will serve 4-year terms.
