Laguna Beach Design Review Board to Hold View Equity Workshop

The Laguna Beach Design Review Board will be reviewing regulations and guidelines for Design Review Criteria for View Equity on Thursday.

Laguna Beach - The Laguna Beach Design Review Board will be reviewing regulations and guidelines relative to Design Review Criteria for View Equity, at a public workshop on Thursday July 30 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The Design Review Board will be reviewing regulations and guidelines relative to LBMC Section 25.05.040(H)(16) Design Review Criteria for View Equity, which states, “The development, including its landscaping, shall be designed to protect existing views from neighboring properties without denying the subject property the reasonable opportunity to develop as described and illustrated in the city’s “Design Guidelines.” The “Design Guidelines” are intended to balance preservation of views with the right to develop property.”

You may submit comments on any agenda item or on any item not on the agenda in writing via mail to the Zoning Administrator at: 505 Forest Avenue, Laguna Beach, CA. 92651 or by email to ncsira@lagunabeachcity.net. Please email your comments to the Zoning Administrator no later than 3 p.m. on July 29, 2020 (the day before the DRB workshop) in order for your comments to be submitted to the members of the Design Review Board the day prior the meeting, which provides them sufficient time to review the comments. If you are not able to use this Webinar system, you may submit comments via email during the meeting to ncsira@lagunabeachcity.net.
