Laguna Beach Minnow Bathing Suit Founder Talks Travel, Kids
Minnow founder Morgan Smith of Laguna Beach dished on the inspiration behind her resort-wear swimsuit company.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Minnow bathing suit brand owner Morgan Smith shared her love of travel, family, and thoughts on her popular business with Forbes this week.
Smith detailed how she came up with Minnow, a bathing suit company designed for kids while traveling in Europe.
"We were on a home exchange for the summer in London," she tells Forbes. On a weekender to the Amalfi coast, she sought—unsuccessfully—for a swimsuit for her young son, Theo, 14-months at that time. "I started thinking about where I found his swim trunks back home in California," she told the magazine. "There wasn't a consistent brand that I knew of, dedicated to children's swim."

Minnow was born.
Today, from smocked dresses, suits, and bikinis to gingham shirts, the brand has made waves across the country and the world. The mother of three continues to design to impress with a collection of resort-worthy suits, trunks, and coverups.
