Laguna Beach Sets Neighborhood Fire Evacuation Outreach Events

Fire season is upon us and the City of Laguna Beach is holding outreach events to help you be prepared if evacuation is necessary.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA -- Fire season is upon us and the City of Laguna Beach is conducting a series of Evacuation Outreach events to help you be prepared if evacuation is necessary. In 2017 and 2018, several communities across California were impacted by wildfires and many of them had to evacuate their homes during those events.

Nearly all of the City of Laguna Beach and its surrounding 16,000 acres of open space are designated by CalFire as a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone. This designation underscores the significant risk in the City and recognizes the loss of 441 structures due to wildfire in 1993.

It is important that our residents understand their evacuations routes prior to the emergency. Download your neighborhood specific evacuation map at www.lagunabeachcity.net/evacuation.
