Laguna Beach Track And Field Represents At County Championships
These Laguna Beach track and field stars were honored by the city for their exceptional work at the May 20th County Track & Field games!
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The City of Laguna Beach acknowledged the young track and field stars of Laguna Beach this week. Earlier in the month, 23 local youth participated in the Orange County Track and Field Championships at Estancia High School.
The Laguna Beach Track Team is comprised of boys and girls ranging from 5 to 14 years of age, the city said in a recent release.
The young track stars competed in various events including the long jump, softball throw, 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1600 meter races, Mariann Traci of the City Manager's office reported.

The Laguna Beach team had participants that placed in the top four in their respective events and are moving on to the Southern California Championships at Warren High School in Downey on Sunday, June 3.
