Last-Minute Shopping, Extra CHP Patrols, Holiday Closures

1. City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1, in observance of the holidays.

2. Tuesday is the last day for Christmas shopping, and many national chains plan to stay open late on Christmas Eve. Toys R Us stores will be open round-the-clock until 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and most Walmart stores will be open until 8 p.m.

3. If you’re planning to be on the freeways during the holiday, be careful. The CHP plans maximum enforcement from 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve to midnight on Christmas Day. Officers will be on heightened alert for drivers who speed, fail to buckle-up, or are driving under the influence.

4. There will be no street sweeping on Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1, and there will not be parking enforcement for those streets posted for street sweeping on those days.

5. The Center will be closed for the holidays beginning Saturday, Dec. 21 and will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014. The staff and volunteers wish the Laguna Beach community a joyous holiday season.
