Medical-Grade Masks Donated To Laguna's First Responders
Boxes of the hard-to-find masks were shared with Laguna Beach's fire department, thanks to Compass Realtor, Marcus Skenderian.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — When Compass Realtor Marcus Skendarian learned of a shortage of medical-grade masks in the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, he knew he could do something to help.
As businesses closed due to coronavirus in mid-March, first responders and essential workers faced an uncertain time with less-than-standard protective gear. When a client asked him for help in coordinating and distributing masks, Skenderian didn't hesitate, he told us. He had the connections to gather a plethora of medical-grade masks, and make sure they went to where they were most needed within the city of Laguna Beach.
They purchased 10,000 medical-grade masks at roughly $2 each, the Laguna Beach Independent Reported.

As they called to find out where the need was most great, Skendarian learned the Caduceus Medical Group, he learned, had only 12 masks at the end of March. Skenderian had 500 masks to them within two days.
With the large donation came a significant cost, one that he was happy to shoulder. Still, contributions toward covering the costs are most welcomed, he said.
