Meet 'The Last Good Guy' Author At Laguna Beach Books, Wed.
Author T. Jefferson Parker will meet fans in Laguna Beach for a book signing at the Laguna Beach Books on Wednesday evening.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach Books is hosting an author book signing for T. Jefferson Parker, and his new novel, "The Last Good Guy" on Wednesday, August 21 at 5 p.m.
Parker is a Los Angeles native who grew up in Irvine before starting his writing career as a journalist in Newport Beach. While writing stories on the police beat, covering local government and writing on the culture of Orange County, Parker "tucked stories away" that he would use in his first novel.
"Laguna Heat," he says, "was written on evenings and weekends" while he worked as a reporter. That story was made into an HBO movie in 1987, staring Harry Hamlin, Jason Robards and Rip Torn.
