On April 2014 an unfortunate experience that almost cost the life of my sweet, beautiful sheltie named “Malibu” while visiting Laguna Beach ended up changing my life. The Patch ran the story and very quickly both Malibu and I felt the compassion of caring concerned citizens from the Friends of Laguna Beach Dog Park. The outpouring of support for Malibu had drawn the attention from so many caring and compassionate people of Laguna Beach and surrounding cities.
Going through so many emotions from witnessing Malibu being mauled like a rag doll, several surgeries and endless infections to her wonderful recovery and I could not have gotten through it without the support and kindness of so many people! This experience has given me a newfound calling to help others. I am so happy to be able to assist with the Volunteer and Foster program for GreenDog Foundation which is a non-profit, volunteer based organization that rescues, fosters and adopts unwanted, abused, abandoned and neglected dogs!

GreenDog works tirelessly to save so many euthanized listed dogs in the high kill Shelters and give them a second or third chance to find loving Furever homes!
During the Christmas Holidays, thousands of animals are purchased as cute adorable puppies as gifts. After the honeymoon and novelty period wears off, hundreds if not thousands are dumped back at local shelters or just neglected and left uncared for.
