Photos: Truck Hits Signal Pole and Street Light, Gravity Does the Rest

From the Laguna Beach Police Dept.:

At 1:41 p.m. on Tuesday, a boom truck was traveling southbound on N. Coast Hwy. at the intersection of Aster/Cliff Dr, struck the overhead signal pole and a street light, causing both to crash to the ground. Currently, both southbound lanes are closed due to the poles blocking the lanes.  Apparently, the boom on the truck was extended and struck the overhanging portion of the signal pole and then hit the street light.

Officers are currently directing traffic in the area and expect heavy traffic in the area for an unknown duration of time.
