Road Work Planned In Laguna Beach Week Of Jan. 27

Pole replacements, one by helicopter, will take place in Laguna Beach this week. Roads will be closed, plan your driving accordingly.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Pole replacement and fiber optic cable plans will muck up roadways in Laguna Beach over the next few days. SCE Pole Replacements - Southern California Edison (SCE) will be working in two areas of town next week: Aliso and Wood Canyon, where a pole will be replaced by helicopter an on Crestview Place.

Monday, January 27, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., SCE’s contractor, Pro Energy Services, will be replacing a utility pole located in the Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park.

The pole is located approximately 4,000 feet southeast of Moulton Meadows Park, they said.

"A helicopter will be used to remove and replace the pole," according to Pro Energy Services.

The landing zone and staging area for the helicopter will occur within the wilderness park approximately 2,100 feet north of Moulton Meadows Park and adjacent to the emergency fire access road.

  • 2299 Crestview Place - On Thursday, January 30, between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., SCE will be replacing a utility pole located near 2299 Crestview Place. A small portion of Crestview Place will be closed in the vicinity. Signs will be posted alerting residents of the temporary street closure.
