​Summer Trolley Service Returning To Laguna Beach

Trolley service begins June 25.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Free trolley service is returning to Laguna Beach this summer, according to Visit Laguna Beach. Passengers and drivers will be required to wear face coverings.

Service is set to return starting June 25, and it will continue through September 6, according to the website. Each trolley will be outfitted with a hand sanitizing station, and the fleet will be cleaned and disinfected daily.

The website states the trolley's Short Coastal Route will run along Coast Highway form North Laguna to 7th Avenue and Mission Hospital every 30 minutes.

The Long Coastal Route, meanwhile, will make stops along Coast Highway from Downtown Laguna Beach to the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point every 40 minutes, according to Visit Laguna Beach. Passengers can hop off the short route north of 7th avenue and get on the long route to continue south to the Ritz Carlton.

The Canyon Route will make stops along Laguna Canyon Road every 20 minutes from Act V and the LCAD peripheral parking lot to art festivals and downtown.

The short and long trolley routes will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., seven days a week. The Canyon Trolley, however, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., seven days a week.

The open-air Summer Breeze Trolley will also offer free rides from Brandman University to Laguna Beach. Summer Breeze routes run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Trolleys depart every 30 minutes.
