The Club is open to all South Orange County women, who work together to fund worthy philanthropic projects including an annual scholarship program and support to local organizations such as Friends of the library, Dana Point 5th Regiment Support Group, Hugs for Heroes, Handbags for Hearts, Laura's House and others. Although "Dana Point" is in the Club's name, women of all ages from all local cities are welcome. Although camaraderie is an integral part of membership, they unite primarily to support worthy community projects.
DPWC's upcoming philanthropic fundraiser, “Cocktails for a Cause”, will be held Wednesday, June 23rd from 4 to 6 PM at Dana Point Yacht Club, benefiting United Way OC’s Sparkpoint Dana Point, a financial literacy program aimed at preventing homelessness by supporting needy families at RH Dana and Palisades elementary schools. DPWC Co-Presidents Betty Hill and Karin Marsh also serve on the Community House board. The 1950s era clubhouse is rented to local organizations, with profits used to fund capital improvements, sponsor free events for local non profits, and when possible, make donations to DPWC for philanthropic purposes.

DPWC attendees were pleased to enjoy a lovely lunch, raffle and centerpiece prizes, while welcoming their new Board members. Net proceeds from the luncheon are dedicated to the Club's philanthropic projects.
