Dead Body With 'Signs of Trauma' Found in Pickup Truck

Orange County sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a pickup truck in Laguna Niguel on Monday afternoon.

The man, believed to be about 35 years old, was found dead in a white pickup truck parked in the 27000 block of Avenida Armijo, said Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.  

Deputies were called about 1:40 p.m. by Orange County firefighters who were initially sent to the scene, Amormino told City News Service.

There were "some signs of trauma'' on the body, Amormino said, but he did not have further details.

A man seen near the truck shortly before authorities arrived was picked up by deputies about two hours later near La Paz Road and Pacific Park Drive in Aliso Viejo and was being questioned, Amormino said.
