Disneyland Galaxy's Edge Will Offer Alcohol At Oga's Cantina
Black Spire Outpost at Galaxy's Edge to serve adult beverages to pilots, bounty hunters, smugglers, galactic travelers & locals in 2019.

Belly up to the bar, Disneyland Star Wars fans. If you ever dreamed of hanging out in a Star Wars Cantina, you will have your chance when Galaxy's Edge opens next year. Oga's Cantina, situated in the middle of Black Spire Outpost, on the planet Batuu is reminiscent of the "Cantina" from the original Star Wars franchise, but with its own unique twist. The park will sell alcoholic beverages in this "outer space" tavern, according to a park spokeswoman.
The Cantina will feature an "innovative menu comprised of non-alcohol and alcohol-based custom cocktails" along with beer and wine options, she said. Diners will have to enjoy their cocktails inside the Cantina, and they will not be allowed to take them out around the park, Patch was told.
While cocktails have long been available across at Disney California Adventure, Disneyland has, with the exception of Club 33, remained "dry." That changes when Oga's Cantina opens their doors.

"Given our commitment to offering fans an immersive cantina experience, we felt this was an opportunity to offer alcohol and non-alcohol based beverages in the context of the story, "Disneyland spokeswoman Liz Jaeger told the Press Enterprise.
Oga's Cantina is what the park calls a "watering hole to unwind, conduct shady business and maybe to encounter friends...or foes." The Cantina will be open when the Galaxy's Edge opens to all in 2019, according to a park spokesperson in a recent announcement.

Oga's Cantina, as per Disney Imagineer protocol, has quite the design and backstory. From the sketch, there is a stage, as well as a curved bar with all sorts of bubbling brews and taps.
"Musical entertainment will be provided courtesy of RX-24, "the former Star Speeder 3000 pilot droid we first met in Star Tours, who has re-envisioned himself as the tavern's DJ," they said. Prepare for unique music to go along with those drinks!
The establishment attracts "the most interesting and disreputable characters in the galaxy," a park spokesperson told us. Expect "famous concoctions" created from "exotic ingredients" and served in "unique vessels."

Though food and drink specifics are not yet known, one thing is certain. They will all be part of the Galaxy's Edge story. Perhaps we will see stormtroopers checking out the disreputables. Perhaps a Jawa or two.
