It's always a bad idea to drive drunk, and tonight deputies will be looking out for drunk drivers.
Extra officers will be on duty from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. in Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Laguna Hills, and Aliso Viejo as part of the "Avoid the 13" campaign.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department's stated goal of these continuing programs is to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by DUI collisions. Deputies will be looking for and arresting both drunk and drugged drivers.
