Shooting Match Benefits Marine Support Group

As part of the Warrior Day Activities, there will be:

• Men and Women’s shooting Competition – This is a timed, three gun competitive shoot. Contestants will have an opportunity to shoot 8 bullets from 3 pistols, a .22 Ruger Target Pistol, a 9MM Glock and a 1911 .45ACP.  Each Pistol cycle will be timed at 20 seconds per pistol. Scoring will be based on the combined scores of all three pistols, or 24 bullets. Pistols and Ammo will be supplied.  Each Entry is $25, and competitors can enter as many times as they want.  Winners in each Class will win a Springfield XD Tactical in the caliber of their choice. Pre-Registered Entrants will have the opportunity to schedule shooting times, avoiding potentially long waits.

All net proceeds go to benefit the Socks for Heroes project that provides clean socks to Marine Infantry Battalions in Afghanistan.  In a year, Socks for Heroes, has shipped 86,000 pair or just over 7 tons of socks to our Marines.
