Deputies arrested a 20-year-old woman early Wednesday morning following a helicopter search near the Rancho Niguel Road/Moulton Parkway intersection, authorities said.
Amy Elle Howard was arrested on charges related to hit-and-run and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, said Lt. Jeff Hallock with the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Hallock was unsure whether the hit-and-run accident resulted in any injuries.
Howard pled guilty to driving while intoxicated last year, according to Orange County Superior Court records.
