Kyle Escobar Remembered With Salt Creek Beach Paddle Out
Kyle Escobar, an Aliso Niguel High School Senior, was remembered by friends in a paddle out on Thursday, in Dana Point.
LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — Sunset at Salt Creek Beach was a somber affair, Thursday, as over 100 family and friends of Kyle Escobar arrived to honor their loved one. Kyle died Monday, Feb. 5, at 17-years-old. Friends brought surf boards, flowers, and memories to the event, and paddled out to form a traditional surfer's circle in Kyle's honor. They then threw flowers into the ocean.
Kyle was a senior, and water polo student athlete at Aliso Niguel High School. He is survived by his father, Flo, mother, Jenivy, brother Kobe and sister, Kloe.
"Kyle was a kind, gentle, funny young man that will always be remembered for taking care of everyone else," GoFundMe organizer Jenny Armstrong said. "He gave the best hugs and always had a big smile on his face. The Escobar Family is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support that they are receiving from their friends and community and they are more grateful than they can ever express. Their generosity in allowing all of us to mourn and grieve alongside them is commendable. Any donations made will go directly to the Escobar's where they will be able to access the funds directly."
