Niguel Hills Middle School Threat Deemed Not Credible, Cops Say
Orange County Sheriff's Department investigated a possible school threat at the Capistrano District school this week.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — On the last Friday before Spring Break in Capistrano Unified School District many parents kept their Niguel Hills Middle School students home following a "non credible threat" made on campus this week.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, text messages were sent between two students at the school.
"The SMART team investigated the incident," OCSD spokeswoman Carrie Braun told Patch.

While the threat was deemed not to be credible, this note was sent out late last night by principal Tim Reece:

After school yesterday, we received information of a threat. We notified the Orange County Sheriffs’ Department immediately, and they came first thing this morning and conducted a full investigation.
They determined there are no safety concerns regarding this incident, and ruled out any danger.While we cannot discuss the specifics of this incident, situations of this nature are taken very seriously, and we follow up with appropriate disciplinary measures.
There will be Orange County Sheriffs’ on site prior to the start of the school day. Counseling will be available to anyone at the school who would like access to those services.Please do not hesitate to call the school if you have any questions.
