Thief Punches Clerk in Alcohol Grab
A man tries to steal booze from a Ralphs on Crown Valley in Laguna Niguel late Thursday.
A man attempted to steal alcohol from the Ralphs Fresh Fare grocery store at 28231 Crown Valley in Laguna Niguel on Thursday night, punching a clerk in the face before fleeing.
The would-be thief was described as about 5-foot-7 with a motorcycle helmet. He fled on a motorized bicycle onto Greenfield, said Orange County Sheriff's Lt. Joe Balicki.
The grocery clerk, despite taking a punch, retained the alcohol.
