Watch: Beached Great White Saved From SoCal Shore
A group of people in Dana Point attempted to help this baby great white shark washed up on the OC shore recently. Watch what they do next.
DANA POINT, CA —Earlier this week, as the morning fog cleared from Capistrano Beach, three men were confronted by a baby Great White shark that became beached just above the shore break. The creature was unable to get back into the water, by all recorded accounts.
Using muscle and compassion, the men worked together and maneuvered the three to four foot long baby shark back into the water as onlookers gathered to watch the spectacle.
As a final wave rolled in, the shark swam out of the shallows at last, and was able to turn toward deeper waters. The crowd cheered, though apprehension was an undercurrent of the enthusiasm.
