Who’s Your Hero in Laguna Niguel?

If you know local volunteers who deserve a pat on the back, nominate them for the Laguna Niguel Citizen of the Year Award.

Do you know a person who goes the extra mile to make Laguna Niguel a better place to live? If so, now’s your chance to toot his or her horn.

The Laguna Niguel Citizen of the Year Committee is seeking nominees for the award, was established in 1990 to recognize outstanding local volunteerism.

According to a news release from the committee, all nominees must live or work in Laguna Niguel. Their volunteer work may include: “acts of heroism, humanitarianism, charitable and/or outstanding service and can be within the last year, or over a span of several years.”

If you know someone who fits the bill, you can download and fill out the nomination forms attached to this article in a PDF file. You can also find the forms at Laguna Niguel City Hall, Sea Country Senior and Community Center, Crown Valley Community Park and South Coast YMCA—or on the city’s website.

Nomination forms should be submitted to the Laguna Niguel Citizen of the Year Committee, c/o Laguna Niguel City Hall, 30111 Crown Valley Parkway, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677.

The 2012 Laguna Niguel Citizen of the Year Award will be presented during a dinner ceremony slated for Saturday, June 8 at the El Niguel Country Club.
