Wind Advisory In Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, Warm Weather In OC
Strong winds and warm weather will last throughout the week across Orange County. Downed trees and power outages are possible through Friday
LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA — High winds and warm temperatures were again expected across Orange County for the remainder of the week. With extreme winds come the likelihood of downed trees and limbs, as well as power outages, officials say.
In Mission Viejo, a large tree blew down into the street, blocking traffic and narrowly missing homes in this HOA neighborhood.

The National Weather Service released a wind advisory for the majority of Orange County until noon on Friday, it was reported Tuesday.

Winds, blowing at a sustained 20 to 30 miles per hour, could gust at up to 60 miles per hour, they said.
The strongest and most widespread winds were expected to blow Tuesday afternoon and evening.

A coastal wind advisory was also in effect, with Northeast winds blowing from a sustained 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. Winds were expected to gust until at least 6 a.m. Thursday.
Drivers were warned that high profile vehicles could experience "dangerous travel" due to winds. "Gusting winds could blow around unsecured objects."
