Chancellor Khosla Set to Move into La Jolla Farms Home After $10.5M Remodel
UC San Diego, which owns the property, closed down the house in 2004.

Renovations of the University House at UC San Diego are complete and Chancellor Pradeep Khosla is set to move in. The university showed off the home, which is now called the Audrey Geisel University House, earlier this week.
The Geisel house was closed down in 2004 because of numerous electrical, plumbing and seismic problems, according to the school. A $10.5 million remodeling project to solve the issues was funded in large part by Audrey Geisel, the widow of Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel.
The house, built in 1952 and purchased by the university 15 years later, is registered as a historic site at the local, state and national levels because of its Pueblo Revival architecture, according to UCSD. School officials say it offers breathtaking coastal views.
