Haydn Voyages: Music at the Maritime
The Hausmann Quartet and the Maritime Museum of San Diego team up to bring 4 unique concerts aboard Berkeley--an 1898 steam ferryboat.

The Hausmann Quartet and the Maritime Museum of San Diego are excited to partner to present the launch of Haydn Voyages: Music at the Maritime, a quarterly concert series aboard Berkeley - an 1898 steam ferryboat docked at San Diego Harbor.
Concerts aboard this National Historic Landmark, docked next to Star of India, will set Joseph Haydn’s quartet cycle alongside those of master composers throughout history. Haydn is an ideal guide to this exploration of some of the most powerful, creative music ever written, and the Hausmann Quartet, hailed as “an accomplished young foursome with a luscious sound and an experimental bent” (Repeat Performances), is sure to delight.
Each creative program will also include informative and entertaining commentary during the performance from noted UC Santa Barbara musicologist Derek Katz. The Maritime Museum will be open for touring (free with ticket) and refreshments will be available starting at 3 pm.
