Homeless Resource Fair Gets Underway In San Diego
Homeless residents can access roughly 100 services, including counsel on sex trafficking and domestic violence.

SAN DIEGO, CA – The San Diego Housing Commission will host the 13th Project Homeless Connect resource fair Wednesday for local homeless residents.
The housing commission is overseeing the resource fair for the ninth consecutive year, with assistance from the city of San Diego, Father Joe's Villages, the Interfaith Shelter Network and Family Health Centers of San Diego. Homeless residents will have access to roughly 100 service provider booths during the event.
Homeless residents attending the resource fair will have access to a warm meal, medical screenings, flu shots, pet care, legal aid, social security benefits assistance and ID cards from the state Department of Motor Vehicles. According to the housing commission, this year's resource fair will include officials from the Victim Service Division of the district attorney's office to provide counseling on issues of domestic violence and sex trafficking.

San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, San Diego City Council member Georgette Gomez and Chris Ward and housing commission President and CEO Richard Gentry are expected to attend the event.
The resource fair runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Golden Hall, located at 202 C St.
