La Jolla Fire and Lifeguard Stations Teamed Up with Toys for Tots

Drop off new, unwrapped gifts at any San Diego fire or lifeguard station through Dec. 16 for Toys for Tots.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department teamed up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves to bring toys to children through Toys for Tots this holiday season. Drop off new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages at any San Diego fire or lifeguard station through Dec. 20.

"We are glad to do our part to help the Marine Reservist bring a smile to the faces of children at the holidays," said Fire Chief Javier Mainar in an announcement. "The credit all belongs with Toys for Tots. If we can make it easier for someone to get to a donation point because a fire station or a lifeguard station is in their neighborhood, then that's the least we can do."

Toys for Tots delivers toys to children in less fortunate families.
