Men's Club Dinner Forum Presents: Melinda Wilkes, Jewish Family Service of San Diego

The Men's Club Dinner Forum features Melinda Wilkes, director of volunteer engagement at Jewish Family Service of San Diego and a council member of the San Diego Volunteer Administrators Network. She will talk about the agency's “Embrace a Family Program.” With more than 500 low-income families in need this year, Wilkes will discuss the general problems these family’s face, how the government shut down has impacted them, and how your support with gifts helps us bring a joyous holiday season.

Wilkes has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 10 years and has been in the field of volunteer engagement for more than seven years. She is dedicated to the sector and takes pride in helping individuals and agencies strengthen their volunteer capacity. 

She has taught volunteer management for several years on a local and national level. She presently teaches volunteer management at the University of San Diego.

Wilkes holds her Masters in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego and is a certified volunteer administrator through Council for Certificate in Volunteer Administration.

The event, which includes a deli dinner, is free for those who bring new, unused, unwrapped toys and/or gifts, grocery scrip, or gift certificates valued at $15 or more. Admission is $15 without gift.
