CALIFORNIA – Halloween is just weeks away, and we know what candy Californians are craving this year.
Once again, Skittles are the most popular candy for the holiday in the state, according to the Candy Store. The fruit-flavored candy came out on top in California last year, too.
U.S. consumers are expected to spend $2.6 billion on Halloween candy, which is the same amount as last year, according to the National Retail Federation.

Californians aren't the only ones who favor the rainbow-colored candy. In fact, Skittles ranked as the top Halloween candy in the country, according to the Candy Store's sales data from the past 12 years.
M&M's are the second-most popular in the Golden State, followed by Reese's Cups.
