"Miss You Like Hell," a new musical at the La Jolla Playhouse is grabbing some national attention.

"Miss You Like Hell," a new musical set to begin later this month at the La Jolla Playhouse and is grabbing national attention.

The New York Times wrote the performance "has a pedigree that makes it one of the most anticipated new musicals of the season to not have its premiere in New York."

Its book and lyrics are by the Tony Awardwinning playwright Quiara Alegría Hudes, while the music and lyrics are from the folk singer/songwriter Erin McKeown, according to the newspaper.
