Peek Into Sanford-Burnham's Labs; Attend Tour Next Month

Sanford-Burnham will host a behind-the-scenes tour of its La Jolla campus on June 5.

Ever wondered what a leading medical research laboratory looked like? Well you have your chance to go on a behind-the-scenes tour of Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute in La Jolla on June 5.

The tour is free and includes an overview of the Institute’s history, followed by a visit to its Stem Cell Research Center and the Conrad Prebys Center for Chemical Genomics.

Another highlight of the tour is a look at how its robotic platform screens chemical compounds by the millions to find the few that could potentially be developed into medicines.
