Poll Workers Needed for UCSD, County Says

Volunteers get stipends ranging from $75 to $175, and $15 extra for those fluent in other languages.

English speakers are needed to work the polls in the UC San Diego area on Nov. 6, says the county Registrar of Voters Office.

Daily stipends range from $75 to $175, depending on assignment—and volunteers fluent in another language earn an extra $15, the county says.

Poll workers must be U.S. citizens, 18 and older, who have registered to vote in California. But an exception is made for students taking part in their High School Student Poll Worker Program.
