Rain in Forecast for Little League World Series

The boys from Bonita are scheduled to make their World Series debut today, but a soggy forecast could postpone action.

The Sweetwater Valley Little League all-star team’s opening game in the Little League World Series today in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, likely will be rained out.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a 100 percent chance of rain today and a 90 percent chance for tonight. Some of the storms forecast could produce heavy rainfall.

The game against the team representing Kentucky’s Bowling Green Eastern Little League, the Great Lakes Regional champion, is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. PDT. A watch party is planned for La Finca D’Adobe in Bonita.
