Richard Walls, La Jolla Pediatrician, Dies at 64
Dr. Walls died of a heart attack on Sept. 13 at his La Jolla home.
Richard Walls, of La Jolla, died Sept. 13 at home. He was 64.
Dr. Walls was a pediatrician, who practiced for 31 years, according to the U-T San Diego.
The local paper reports that Walls graduated from La Jolla High School in 1966 and earned his bachelor's from UC San Diego. He then earned a Ph.D. in pharmacology and medical degree from USC.
He is survived by his wife Theresa, sons Daniel of South Korea, son Andrew of Seattle and daughter Linda Fortney of Palomar Mountain; and brother James of Poway.
A memorial service was held Sunday at La Jolla Elementary School.
