Here's more about the type of snake experts believe it was.

San Diego, CA — A 7-foot-long snake similar to the one pictured above was spotted this week at Sunset Cliffs, according to a news report.

A man told 10News San Diego that he saw the slithery reptile while on one of his usual walks with his dog.

Experts who viewed a photo of the snake told 10News it was not a rattlesnake, but a non-venomous gopher snake.
