Veterans Get Free Memorial Day Admission to State Parks
Find out which California State Parks are participating.

Whether it’s for a hike with the family, a nap on the beach, off-roading or a few hours of fishing, the California State Parks System invites current and former U.S. service members to take advantage of free admission this Memorial Day.
Entrance fees will be waived for veterans, active and reserve military personnel at 142 participating state parks sites located up, down and across the Golden State.
“Memorial Day is a day to reflect and remember U.S. Military personnel who gave their lives in service to their country,” said Dennis Weber, spokesman for California State Parks. “Providing a free day to the Armed Forces and veterans is a small way of honoring all men and women for their service and sacrifice.”
