Water Leak Disrupts Service At La Jolla Village Post Office
Locals can pick up mail, but retail sales are temporarily suspended, officials said.

LA JOLLA, CA – The U.S. Postal Service Wednesday announced the temporary suspension of retail sales at its La Jolla Village Station location due to a water leak.
Residents will be able to retrieve mail from their post office boxes with no interruption during the suspension. The Postal Service also does not expect mail delivery to be affected by the closure.
The USPS did not disclose the extent of the water leak or its damage to the La Jolla Village Station location.

"Our top priority is a high standard of service as well as the safety and well-being of our customers and employees," according to a USPS statement. "We hope to have the La Jolla Village Station reopened and fully operational again as soon as possible."
During the closure, residents can find retail sales and services at the USPS' University City location at 3298 Governor Drive and its Costa Verde Golden Triangle location at 8650 Genesee Ave, Suite 214.
