Worlds AIDS Day Events Coming to La Jolla
The AIDS Memorial Quilt will be displayed at UC San Diego's La Jolla campus on Monday, Dec. 2. In addition, the campus will host AIDS testing and several information and resource sessions through Friday, Dec. 6.

The La Jolla community will have the opportunity to see a traveling piece of art and history this week. A portion of the AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display at UC San Diego on Monday for World AIDS Day.
“World AIDS Day is an important reminder of the need to increase global awareness of this devastating disease,” said Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla in an announcement. “We honor this day as part of an ongoing dialogue to educate individuals about the impact of HIV/AIDS, and to encourage each person to take action to ultimately halt the effects of AIDS entirely."
The display of the quilt is just one event in a week of AIDS education initiatives on campus.
