Coroner IDs 19-Year-Old Woman Killed In Lake Elsinore Crash

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A 19-year-old woman was killed and another person seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Lake Elsinore.

Kasie Hernandez of Moreno Valley died at the crash scene at Lakeshore Drive and Ohio Street. Her time of death was reported at 12:10 a.m. Friday, just minutes after the crash, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.

Firefighters were called at 11:57 p.m. Thursday to the wreck and found a single vehicle with two occupants that had crashed into a wall, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said.

The other person, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, the department said.

No other information was immediately available.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is investigating the crash cause.
