1 Killed, 3 Wounded In Separate Shootings In Perris

PERRIS, CA — A man was killed and three other victims were hospitalized with wounds suffered in two shootings Wednesday in Perris.

Deputies were called to the 200 block of Fifth Street about 4:50 p.m. to investigate a report of a shooting and located three victims, all suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The two other victims were taken to a hospital in unknown condition. Their age, gender and names were not disclosed.

Several individuals were detained for questioning, the department said.

Earlier, deputies responded to a shooting call in the 1500 block of Remembrance Drive about 2:30 p.m. and found a man with an apparent gunshot wound, the department said.

The man was taken to a hospital in unknown condition. No suspects were in custody and an investigation into the shooting was underway.
