45 Drivers Cited During Wildomar Traffic Operation

A total of 63 vehicles were stopped during the eight-hour crackdown.

WILDOMAR, CA โ€” Over the span of eight hours, 45 drivers were handed traffic citations and five people were arrested for DUI as part of a "Traffic Enforcement Saturation" in Wildomar, the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station reported Monday.

The beefed-up enforcement began at 6 p.m. Friday and ran through 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the station, which conducted the crackdown.

Deputies stopped drivers for various violations, but speeding was the focus of the operation. A total of 63 vehicles were stopped during the eight-hour period, the station reported.

"Traffic Safety Saturation patrol will continue throughout the year to help reduce the number of traffic collisions and ensure the safety of the motoring public," according to the station.
