55-Hour Closure Of Railroad Canyon Freeway Onramp Begins
The Lake Elsinore closure begins at 9 p.m. Friday, January 8.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — The Interstate 15 southbound onramp at Railroad Canyon Road will close this weekend as construction crews continue work at the interchange.
From 9 p.m. Friday, January 8 to 4 a.m. Monday, January 11, the onramp will be closed for paving as part of the $41 million Interstate 15 Railroad Canyon Road Interchange project, according to the Riverside County Transportation Commission.
The RCTC is advising motorists to expect delays, allow extra travel time, and use the southbound I-15 Main Street onramp as a detour.

The interchange project, which is designed to improve safety and reduce congestion in the area, is slated to wrap up in late 2022.
