LAKE ELSINORE, CA โ€” The Lake Elsinore City Council unanimously approved a project that will bring a 60-unit condominium development to Canyon Hills.

In a 5-0 vote last week, the council approved development by Tri Pointe Homes of the gated condo community at Railroad Canyon Road at Tassel Way. The existing vacant 9.07-acre site will be subdivided into one 5.37-acre condominium lot, three open space lots totaling .65 acres, private streets totaling 2.06 acres, and one water quality/detention basin totaling .99 acres, according to city staff.

The project dubbed Ridgeline at Westridge will annex into an existing Home Ownerโ€™s Association for the maintenance of common areas, private streets, and the detention basin.

The 60 detached two-story condominium units will feature three different architectural styles (Spanish Colonial, Santa Barbara, and Craftsman), and three different floor plans ranging in size from 1,793 square feet to 2,288 square feet.

The project avoided an updated environmental review. On July 27, 2010, City Council approved an addendum to the final environmental impact report for the Canyon Hills Specific Plan that the city said is applicable to the current project.
