Corona Man Killed On Railroad Tracks In Indio

There was no word on why the 23-year-old man was on the tracks.

INDIO, CA โ€” A pedestrian killed by a train Thursday morning in Indio has been identified as a Corona man.

Matthew Kohatsu, 23, was struck and killed on railroad tracks at Avenue 48 and Indio Boulevard shortly after 6:30 a.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department and the Indio Police Department responded.
