Pedestrian Killed In Wildomar Collision

The road where the wreck occurred was closed for several hours on Tuesday.

WILDOMAR, CA โ€” Riverside County sheriff's officials are investigating a deadly traffic crash in Wildomar. Authorities say the incident happened just before 6 a.m. along Bundy Canyon Drive, in between Mission Trail and Orchard Street, which is near Elsinore High School.

"Upon arrival, deputies learned a pedestrian was walking in the eastbound lane of Bundy Canyon Road and was struck by a tractor trailer combination, also traveling east on Bundy Canyon Road," the sheriff's department said in a news release. "The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel."

The person was not publicly identified.

The road was closed until around 11:30 a.m. while the sheriff's department was at the scene, officials tell Patch.
